Принято считать, что 30-40 лет назад мусора в Севастополе было значительно меньше, а такого понятия как “несанкционированные свалки” не существовало вообще.
Да и принято не без повода – это действительно было так.
А как было с мусором сто лет назад? Или пятьсот? Тысячу?
Вообще, как это ни странно звучит, первое упоминание о свалке можно найти в… Библии. Та самая Гиена Огненная – свалка под Иерусалимом, куда свозился мусор и подвергался сожжению.
3 тысячи лет до н.э. в городе Кроносс были созданы первые в истории централизованные помойки мусор сваливали в специально вырытые ямы, слои мусора пересыпали слоями земли.
В Древней Греции был принят первый в истории “мусорный” закон, запрещающий вываливать отходы ближе, чем за 1,5 километра от города.
А вот в середине 14 века по всей Европе вспыхнула чума, известная как “Чёрная смерть”, которая унесли жизни сотен миллионов человек. Одной из причин эпидемии стал мусор, вернее – его обилие. Уже после во многих странах Европы стали возникать муниципальные мусорные службы, которые собирали отходы в телеги и вывозили их за пределы города.
