В Кении был построен экологичный детский дом
Проект гуманитарной организации Orkidstudio состоял в постройке приюта для кенийских сирот с применением новейших эко-технологий строительства и привлечением минимальных средств. Основным материалом в постройке приюта святого Иеронима стали отходы деревообрабатывающего производства. Вместо кирпичей использовались мешки с глинистой почвой, которой богата Кения. Важным элементом постройки стали фильтры для дождевой воды, установленные на крыше.
Площадь детского дома составляет 396 м², он включает в себя два здания, в которых расположены 4-местные комнаты, а также столовая и зал для обучения. Строительство длилось 8 недель и обошлось в $78 315. Деньги были собраны благотворительными и архитектурными организациями. Всего в проекте было задействовано около 70 молодых архитекторов со всего мира.
«Работать в этом проекте было просто фантастичным, и мы рады поддержать такое вдохновляющее и нужное строение. Команда Orkidstudio не только создала в этом районе новый дом для нуждающихся, но и помогла основанию навыков и экономического развития работников. Мы с нетерпением ждем совместной работы с ними на аналогичных проектах в будущем», – делятся участники.
